Position - CFO
Objectives
----------------
Overall responsibility of the Finance operations of ThoughtWorks India
Provide business advice and leadership to the local management team e.g. regulatory, commercial, alignment with our budgets and business objectives
Responsibilities
------------------------
Developing annual budgets, quarterly plans
Efficiently manage cash flow.
Manage funds and resource mobilization (banks, leasing, etc)
To ensure timely completion of all statutory audits (including global audits).
To ensure timely compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g. company law matters, direct and indirect taxes, STPI, Customs, etc).
To represent the company on all direct and indirect tax matters and assessments.
Ensure adequate internal control systems and processes commensurate with the operational needs of the business unit
MIS reporting
To provide adequate insurance coverage (asset, liability, employee insurance)
Develop pricing models for service offerings
Contract scrutiny and negotiations including MSAs, SOWs
Experience with and knowledge of Transfer Pricing procedures
Vendor relationship management
Work with the management team in expansion activities
Provide leadership to a local finance team -- mentor, guide and grow the individuals
Interact and coordinate with the global CFO and other finance team members
Qualifications, Characteristics
-------------------------------------------
Typical qualifications -- Chartered Accountant is a must. Additional desirable qualifications could include LLB, ACS,
Knowledge of Indian Accounting standards and US GAAP
Exposure to double taxation avoidance treaties.
Innovative in cash management and cost reduction
Will require to be hands-on and have working skills and knowledge of Financial modules of ERP systems (e.g. Peoplesoft, Oracle Financials etc)
Either have been part of the management team or have experience working closely with the management team
Experience with international software companies highly desirable
(Optional) Knowledgeable of Expatriate taxation matters
Self-driven, motivated individual able to operate under general overall guidance
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Good presentation and negotiation skills
Ability and desire to work in an flat, non-hierarchical, dynamic organization
Good communication and team skills, ability to work with global teams.
